After having to postpone our exhibitions in 2020 and 2021 we had a good turnout of models and it was great to see what our members have been working on during the last two years.

Bring your own picnic to the field above the railway. Meet Easter Bunny, who will be wandering around at various times throughout the event, take part in the family races we’ll be organising, and show off your Easter bonnet in our competition, plus other easter-themed activities.

The Annual General Meeting of the Bradford Model Engineering Society will be held on Wednesday 2nd March – 19:45 start at Saltaire Methodist Church with a live stream on Zoom.
If any member would like an item including on the agenda please contact our secretary Laurence Bentley. All committee positions are open to nominations. Please speak to one of our committee if you would like any information about these roles.
Annual Dinner 2021
This years dinner has been arranged at Oakwood Hall, Lady Lane, off Park Road, Bingley, BD16 4AW
Friday 22nd October 2021, 7.00 for 7.30 pm.

Due to a national shortage of high class chefs and trained staff the restaurant at Oakwood Hall is presently closed so an alternative has been offered. This takes the form of a self service buffet, the tables and chairs will be arranged as usual.

Roger Backhouse will give his talk on Jim Crebbin, a very prominant model engineer of locomotives with compound cylinders.

We still feel it is a little soon to be inside for our normal meetings so we are having an extra social at Wibsey which is never a bad thing!

Unfortunatly due to the COVID restrictions we aren’t able to take passengers on the trains at the moment and our club activities are very limited. The health and safety of our visitors and members is very important to us and until the situation improves and we have the chance to put measures in place this will remain the case.
